This knife was inherited by the owner from his father and dates back to the 1950’s or 1960’s, most likely, but I wasn’t able to assign it a firm date. At some point in the past, the handles had been wrapped with black electrical tape and that probably saved them from a lot of damage. With the owner’s permission, I removed the tape and sanded down the handle scales, which looked like they had been scored at some point in the past to give them more grip. I polished them up and put a light coat of clear stain on them and re-pinned them using brass rod and washers. The owner was extremely happy with this knife, which he intends to hand down to his son.
